.: Presentation Night in memory of Kellie McKenna

After the untimely death of our esteemed player, committee member and friend Kellie McKenna, the club set about fundraising for the Royal Victoria Hospital, where Kellie was cared for. This has culminated into a grand total of £8,000.

The Club held a Presentation night in the Greencastle Community Centre on Friday 27th April, where we handed over two separate cheques to the Royal. £4,000 was donated to the Intensive Care Unit and £4,000 given to Ward 4C where Eimear Teague was nursed back to full health, following the same accident. The Club would like to thank all those who contributed generously to the fund.

What a day for the people of Greencastle and Tyrone. Our local lads put in a brilliant performance on Croke Park on Saturday 10th March 2007, when they won the All-Ireland Junior Club Title. Greencastle won the game against Duagh from Kerry on a score of 0-13 to 0-12.

The home coming was a magnificent site when the cavalcade of cars followed the team the whole way from Dublin back to Greencastle for the biggest party of them all.

The Fashion Show held on Friday 19th May turned out to be a huge success. The Club would like to thank all those who modeled and helped out in anyway on the night. Without this help we could not have run this event.

Congratulations must go to Eimear Teague on winning the 'Special Achievement Award' at the Teamtalk Allstar Awards ceremony held in the Great Northern Hotel, Bundoran on the 9th December 2006. Eimear has made a remarkable recovery from the devastating car accident which claimed the life of our esteemed player Kellie McKenna.
